International agreements on social security generally quote a liaison office for each country and each
branch of social insurance. These offices are basically responsible for providing support to the accident
insurance institutions, the member companies, the insured and others in implementing international agreements.
In addition they have scattered specific tasks as e.g. the payment of accident pensions to beneficiaries abroad.
The HVBG has been appointed national liaison office for the German statutory accident insurance.
