The BGZ (BG Central Office for Safety and Health) is the prevention arm of the HVBG (German Federation of Institutions for Statutory Accident Insurance and Prevention), responsible for directing and coordinating the joint tasks of the "BGs" (institutions responsible for statutory accident insurance and prevention) in the field of safety and health at the workplace.
The BGZ’s expert committees develop the BG rules and regulations.
